Hi everyone,

I've been having a lot of tooth pain lately and have not gone to the dentist in years. I do take care of my teeth the good old fashioned so I've never really had any issues until now. I was wondering if anyone had any advice on some home remedies that I can use to avoid going to the dentist. I can't tell exactly what's causing the pain but two of my bottom teeth started to really hurt last week and it has not gone away.

Any advice is greatly appreciate it.

Thanks!

Unfortunately, if you don't take care of whatever underlying issue is causing the pain, it will only eventually get worse (and maybe a lot worse all of a sudden). Better to deal with it now before re extensive and expensive treatment is required.

If you want some tips on how to find a good dentist, schedule an appt, etc. we can all help support you through that. But, there is no substitute for actually getting to a dentist for treatment.

Sorry :-(

No. This site is about helping people to overcome their fears of dental treatment, not helping to reinforce it.

Some techniques like sensitive relief tooth pastes, OTC pain relievers, and heating pads/cold packs can stave off pain but your best option is to go in to deal w/ the issue. i avoided the dentist for about 17 years due to dental phobia and boy am i every paying for it..

14 teeth had to get yanked(10 regular teeth plus wisdoms), 2 fillings, and i'm stuck w/ partials that i hate on so many levels that i can barely tolerate 1 8 hour wear session every 8 days.
