Are Denture tablets, used to clean night guards, bad for teeth?

Even if you thoroughly rinse the nightguard, after soaking it in a dissolved denture tablet in water, I bet bits of the bleach remain in the small crevices on the night guard. Or am I underestimating the cleaning properties of rinsing with water. I ask this because my night guard tastes like the denture tablets used for cleaning it.

I haven't recommended that people use denture tablets to clean nightguards before, but I guess if it works it shouldn't be a problem(?). Maybe try soaking it in water for a longer period of time after the cleaning has been completed to try to remove the remnants of the cleaning agent.

I usually just tell people to use toothpaste and a toothbrush to clean it, and to soak it in some water and maybe a few drops of Scope.
