Baby teeth were extracted yesturday .. Whats the next step on getting perm eruptions?

I had 5 baby teeth out yesturday. Im 25 btw

I had 2 on top pulled because the perms were above them , and i know i will need braces to bring them down and in place.

So the other 3 were on the bottom. 2 next to the 1st molar on the left side , 1 next to the first molar on the right. I see parts of the teeth there.

My dentist said its possible they could erupt on there own but he said its very unlikely. If they dont, how exactly would they be brought up.

Hi italiannyc17,

if your dentist does not think these teeth can be brought 'into the line of the arch' then it is possible that there is either not enough space for the teeth to erupt or the angulation is not correct for natural path of eruption ...or a combination of both.
It very much depends on the severity of these factors. Only your dentist/orthodontist can assess this. It would normally involve having some orthodontic work.

It is not typical for unerupted adult teeth to erupt normally at that age typically when the baby teeth are removed a bracket is bonded to the adult tooth underneqath then it is connected via an elastic to an orthodontic archwire and slowly brought down into the mouth with a light force. The problem can be that the adult tooth is ankolysed( stuck to the bone) then it won't move. You only find out by trying for awhile and see if you get movement. Good Luck
