Hi all, you may or may not remember me, but I am in the middle of my treatment plan with several sedation appointments. My question is for those of you who have had a deep cleaning with heavy tartar removal. I had my deep cleaning on May 11, almost a month ago. I had very minimal bleeding which then stopped about 3 days after my procedure. Now I am already starting to have small areas of tartar near my dental pockets (I was diagnosed with early periodontal disease too) on one of my front teeth despite twice daily brushing with an electric toothbrush, manual flossing 1-2 times per day, water flossing once daily, and a special mouthwash they sent me home with twice a day. Does this happen sometimes after just one cleaning? I am due for my next sedation appointment in about 3 weeks where I will have work done plus laser bacterial removal and periodontal maintenance. I don't have the funds or insurance to make another visit in between because I have already maxed out the plan for the year.
