Bottom wisdom molar question

If I have upper tooth 2 extracted with lower molar 1 still in and it has nothing to touch will it super erupt ? When I was at oral surgeon I was told it would but I’ve read differing opinions. They were trying to push for implant on tooth 2. Just trying to understand if a bottom wisdom tooth (32) would super erupt . Thanks
