Hello,

5 years ago I have veneers done on both of my front teeth due to them being broken during a fall. I had no issues with them, until last night when I was eating and a piece of the veneer chipped and fell out. I have the piece and it fits perfectly into the space.

How do I proceed now? I have an appointment tonight and I want to go in with as much info as possible. Will the dentist be able to bond the piece back together and call it a day?

I know veneers are very expensive and I don’t have the money for a brand new procedure. I am hoping she will be able to set the piece back.

Is this possible? Will it fall out anyway after a while?

Thanks in advance for your support

from what I know, it depends on where there chip is. If it is on a biting surface then anything to repair it will not be strong enough to withstand the pressure of eating.

I've had veneers on my 3 front bottom teeth for about 20 years. I did have one partially chip off and I was able to retrieve it. The dentist was able to successfully re-attach it and it has been going strong ever since. It has been at least 5 years since it was repaired. You can tell it was repaired if you look at it closely but it looks fine to me. However, my chip was closer to the gum line and isn't a biting surface. Hope all went well for you.
