Oh dear. I have had a troublesome tooth for a few years. A bit niggly on and off, with occasional flare ups. My dentist filled it a few years ago and it was a bit sore when he did it. The ache continued intermittently, and then I had it refilled this summer by a new, horrible dentist. It was sore while he was filling it, and I had to ask him to stop and make it more numb. It never really settled and I've had sporadic discomfort and throbbing since then. Over the last ten days the discomfort has become more persistent, and I've had a tender spot on my chin around root level in this tooth. I now have a dentist I like very much. The other day I chided the situate sent going to go away by itself and made an appointment (for next Thursday). I'm getting increasingly anxious and it's only Saturday. I have now developed a soft tender spot on my gum below the tooth, and I'm pretty sure I know what that is... I know I have to go, and I won't cancel, but I'm scared. I'm also starting to imagine other teeth are developing problems, and getting very worked up. I just hate feeling so scared, but having no choice except having to go.

Oh dear irme, sorry to hear that! You've had a rubbish time of it recently

You're quite right to get it looked at, it sounds like it does need a dentist. Remember that by far the worst part is usually the anticipation, once you get in there and the dentist is nice they can usually get you sorted out and out of pain straight away, you won't regret it once it's done!

Now, here's that shove you wanted *shoves irme*

Don't make me come over there *looks sternly over the top of glasses*

Seriously though, you'll be OK, the new dentist sounds great and you're much braver than you think you are x

I felt calmer as soon as I read your reply! Thank you x

You're absolutely right, tooth sitting here grumbling at me, so I know that I will feel better once I am out of pain.

And here is a shove from me too :butterfly::butterfly::butterfly:
