Hi, i have a 10 year old porcelain fused to metal crown and since last year have noticed the grey line around the bottom show more, i did ask my dentist last May and he checked it and said it was fine but am starting to get anxiety about it worried it is needing replacing, i hope not as i can't afford it as i have to pay 100% plus to have to go through all that yet again, i find it too long and hard. How do i know it's just due to age and not something wrong with my gum or tooth underneath? i am not going to dentist until May unless i have pain, which i have none and my gum looks healthy, no redness. Anyone else with this issue? I searched and said it is normal for this to happen, luckily it's on my second to back molar so no one else can see it, so will leave it unless it hurts.

some gingival recession . you can try using toothbrush with a rolling upwards action to encourage gum to cover edge but should be fine
