Dissoluble stiches

I had a tooth extracted and the dentist said the stiches are dissoluble but then said that they will fall out. The some of the threads are lying on my skin and the skin has closed over them... so my questions is.... will they really dissolve? under the skin like that?

she also put some rolled up foam in the spaces that the root left behind, said those will dissolve too.. with those?
