Stiches ?

After a 2 upper wisdom tooth extraction that could have been filmed and used in a SAW film, I am left with loads of thread in my mouth. My next appointment (with another surgery, no way am I going back to the scene of the crime) - is two weeks away so that will be three weeks after I got stitched up (in more ways than one, lol). They are just a bit annoying, hanging from my upper gums, threads, feel like bride of frankenstein! Anyone know how long they supposed to stay in for????

Some stitches are dissolvable and will start to dissolve by about two weeks. But some just don't and will need to be removed by your new dentist. If that is the case then I think (I'm not a dentist) they will be okay to leave until then. Keep rinsing though

I had stitches when I had my extractions and they lasted a couple of weeks. Yes they were really annoying and used to dangle, and because they were annoying, I was constantly wibbling them with my tongue. I really thought they would never come out, but sure enough they did, some sooner than others, but they shifted in their own good time

My stitches stuck around for about 7-9 days. I'm sure yours will be removed at your visit in two weeks if they need to be. Good luck with your healing.
