Do all teeth that have fillings need crowns?

Most of my front and visible teeth on the top and bottom have either no fillings or very tiny ones. But most of my molars have some. I feel terrible that I've neglected my teeth for so long. I now brush twice, do ACT restore twice, and floss every night. But will all of my molars that have fillings eventually need crowns? I loathe the dentist and the thought of all of my molars needing crowns really upsets me and makes me anxious.

It all depends on how the filling was done, what type of filling it was, and how big the filling it is. Usually amalgam (the silverish metal) fillings last at least 10-15 years, sometimes even upwards of 30! And depending on the size of the filling, they can often just be easily replaced when it wears out. In the offchance that a tooth would need a crown, the procedure likely won't seem that different to you than just getting a normal filling, aside from being a little bit longer.
