Do you need bone graft for molar extractions or is it a scam?

My oral surgeon said I need 5 bone graft for my 5 molar extraction. What if I don’t want to do implant for all 5 ? Do I need bone graft still ? Do bone graft last a lifetime ? Or does it dissolve over time if you don’t place an implant ? Ive ask 2-3 dentist and it’s all mixed opinions .

It's difficult to give advice for you specifically since all cases tend to be a bit different. Maybe try seeing a second surgeon for a second opinion and see what they think?
