Hang in there Tiger, scardey is right, you *will* get to the end of this, and every day you get closer to that goal.

Thanks Scaredy and Tink I hope you are right although it feels never ending. I will always be afraid of what they will find and the crowns going bad. my gums not doing well...they aren't very happy when i miss oil pulling for a while.

12 hours till my appointment. 12 hours till i know if this crown will kill it's neighbor...if implant guy has bad news etc. i don't know if i can get through the next month of work. do they schedule a follow up? i'll need it to feel safe. what if he damages my nerve breaks a tooth...ahhh. :/ I swear i am either going to get smushed by a car when running or fired from my job im so distracted by all of this and have been since april when we decided that 1st old filling was ready to go. it was a nice year of not needing work :( csn i go back to that. im going to be panicked forever.

Good luck today! And, things will settle down and get better... I promise!

7 hours...can i skip this. I shouldn't even need to be worried about a crown delivery but i am...and what if he really did decide the scans say it's not all that easy for the implant after all...what if they get in there 2 weeks from now and i have soft bone ahhhh

Thanks fearful...i need it. They are prob going to hate me..4mile run there and it's at noon so in a humid upper 70's temp. in other words i'll be gross and they will be disgusted

needing to leave in an hour and a half and i'm almost in tears

Deep breaths, my friend. Try to also find some things to distract yourself.

Good luck today!! I hope everything goes well. what helps me a little when I am in the grips of panic over an appointment is to try to imagine it being over and picturing myself at home relaxing and recovering.
and I am sure if your scans showed your bone was strong enough for implant that will all be fine too.

im home i dont feel any bettler about the implant. especially knowing they are still so damn set on the antibiotics. i cant do it. im afraid they will yell at me when i dont but i like my gut health intact and i just am not ok with just in case. help :'(

Congrats on getting through your appointment!
I don't know a lot about implants, I was too afraid to get one. But can you take antibiotics if you take probiotic supplements with it? I know implants have a lower failure rate if you take the antibiotics.

last study i tead was 3% difference. I do take a probiotic but yeah doesn't help much. the most i will end up taking would be 3 or 4 days. I really don't think I want to destroy my immune system just in case something might happen. and yeah i waited this long because the implant thing scared me...

really holistic options should be enough :/

well.. I don't like to encourage people to lie but if you are that against it can you just say yes sure I will take the antibiotics and then not take them if you really don't want to?

and by the way how is your new crown feeling?

i plan on filling the script then it is at the house if an infection happens. I plan on starting the oil of oregano 3 or 4 days before. I mean my diet is organic vegan and nothing prepackaged except a rare treat so that should help my immune system work the way it was meant to somewhat. Again it would be different if an actual infection was there like when they do those at the same time as an extraction.

crown I dunno really doesn't hurt but the pushing feeling is back when i put my teeth together. the crown is over my missing tooth and just barely hits on one of my other bottom teeth next to the gap so it's hard to tell much. Trying not to worry too much yet over the crown.
any funkinessd can hopefully be fixed with a bit of shaving if it sticks around long.
More freaking about the implant and another scan since the other girl assisting in the implant did not accomodate my request to lower the radiation dose on the regular xrays for the crown :(

oh and I'm a jinx...the former co worker was at the dental office when i went and about an hour after I left her lung collapsed and they had to call her an ambulance :( we're friends on fb. i mean it happened to her before but i still feel like that's my fault.

oh my gosh, well of course that is not your fault at all. you are not a jinx.

when will your next appointment be? I haven't set mine up yet. I think I may want to just keep my temp bridge a while and make sure my tooth isn't dying before cementing on the permanent.

june 17 8am for the implant 12 days 21 hours 9 min *cries*

you can do this!! think how happy you will be after it's all finished :)

will it ever be finished. i just will be waiting for the next thing to break.

ugh my bite is off still or a tooth is dying not sure which. not sure i want to bother with going this friday. I am pretty pissed that the 2nd assistant for the implant refused to lower the radiation dose on the xray for the crown when the other girl did for the first 3d scan and and the reg xray .now i am not going to be able to stand up for myself during the proceedure if they dont lower it. how do i make sure D does my scan and not the one that refused? This makes me even more anxious. And they mentioned they do the stupid scan for root canals and i will never f'ing allow that. and how do i make sure the crap they prescribe me is something i will take if needed. everytime i think of the full dose scan i cry. i thought i'd be ok because D lowered the 1st one which made at least part of the panic die out but since the other girl refused.. like my wishes are invalid. i am the size of a 12 to 13 year old i know damn well it will work or D wouldn't have done it.

Can you specify who you want to see? they know you are scared right? Just tell them you feel more comfortable with D.

I am not real great at standing up for myself either. I knew from past experience this temp bridge would start aching if they did not use the sedative cement. I asked twice if I could have it, this time because with a temp crown I had before I had to return 3 times due to pain before they finally popped it off and recemented it with sedative cement. they would not do it for this bridge and my tooth is aching. now I don't know if it's dying from having been worked on so much, or of it's pain from my sore gums or if it simply would have been fine with the sedative cement. I am afraid to even go because they put my temp bridge on with permanent cement and it will be a big ordeal to get it off, plus then they will have to grind all the cement off my tooth.
