Double wisdom tooth extraction on friday... terrified!

Your needing your bottom wisdoms out too? Are they impacted at all? I would very much like to know about your experience as I am trying to get up the courage to have mine out.

Yes both the bottom ones are impacted, one of them is impacted (left one, its totally on the side pushing up against the roots of my molar not sure if its a bony or soft tissue impact or not.. didn't want to ask) and the right one, was, but when I had the molar in front of it extracted it had room to come up.. its not totally all the way up.. but its in a good place to brush it properly at least..

I want to get through getting all the other teeth fixed first before worrying about them! the idea of my gum being cut to get to them is a little un-nerving especially because of how long it took for my top ones to go numb.

Now if only this headache would go away, its really starting to get on my nerves

I don't really remember getting headaches with my upper wisdoms removed. It may just be coincidence or something else perhaps. Do you still have the headache? Hope you are taking something for it. I forgot to tell you but you may already have found out.... when brushing your teeth stay clear of the extraction site. I made the mistake of getting too close and accidentally touched it. I will never make that mistake again. Wow!

I'm wondering if since the wisdom tooth you mentioned has room to come up now that the other molar was extracted if maybe it can be left alone If it can erupt properly? Maybe they won't have to extract that one. Mine are erupted but pretty crowded. One is leaning forward some. The other is back between the jaw and the molar in front of it. It looks pretty straight but does have a little bit of gum covering the back side of it. I have been told they will need to come out in pieces. I'm trying so hard to get up the nerve to have them out. If I could just find an oral surgeon/dentist that would care about my comfort it might help my courage.

the headache seems a bit better today, not as blinding and my sinuses keep popping, so it might be some healing thats going on. I Had to stop taking the prescript painkillers they were making me feel so blah, probably because I haven't been able to eat much yet, other then mushy food. Thankfully over the counter stuff seems to be doing the job, and I didnt wake up to get any painkillers last night so thats a first in over a week! yay

I could finally open my mouth enough today to brush it.. ahh freshness.. lol made sure to avoid the extraction sites thankfully!

She wasn't in a hurry to get the bottom wizzies out, I think she is more concerned with the root canal and fillings, so I will put those in the back of my mind for now.. while they arent causing me any pain at the moment.. whats the saying if its not broken, dont fix it? I think I will go with that for now

hi hope you are doing better? Haven't posted back because I've had some doggie issues. My poor boy went into a vestibular attack. Caused by massive ear infection. Frightening to watch cuz I thought he was having a stroke. No sleep and 24 hours later him and I are pretty spent now.

ppsting on my phone because I can't leave his side. Glad everything is going well. You'll heal in time as with any sort of surgery or regular injury. How we wish it would heal sooner huh? LOL!

Ill keep checking on on you. Hope you get the others done and your root canal should be just fine!

Feeling much better today, still a little paranoid about dry sockets It sucks not being able to see them to see how they are healing.. damn curiosity haha. I had hubby have a look with a torch last night when I started to get a ear ache and a throbbing pain on one site.

Jaw still hurts to open, and the roof of my mouth is still a little tender (only when I poke it with my tongue tho.. lol).

Its been a lot easier then I thought it would be thankfully, I think I have been pretty lucky with my healing and pain, havent taken any painkillers for 24 hours

That might change, I have to work today.. stupid mondayitis

I hope your dog is doing much better it never nice to see your furbabies go through something like that
