This is kind of a rant/worry. My husband was offered a very good job in another state…same one/area we lived in before. I didn’t have the greatest experience with dentists there. I tried several places and settled with one that was just okay. It was before all the chaos happened with my teeth. I am terrified that I won’t be able to find a good dentist.

I also just started treatment for my facial pain. I don’t want to start over ?

Ahhhh, you can't lose your facial pain specialist. I'm sure he could help find the right treatments in your new area though. Dentists are more difficult to sort through. Sending good thoughts while you make this big decision!

Agh! I’m so sorry! What a tough position. For us nervous patients, that’s a huge deal. And now with your therapy and implants it bring so much more to think about. I would swt up some consultations beforehand and not just settle. Trust your gut on a new place. I’m the meantime take advantage of every appointment you can!

I agree with Scaredbutready. You've learned so much in working to get help for your dental issues that you should be able to hold a very educated and informative conversation with any dentist you meet with. You may teach them a few things.

Thank you both! It is going to be so hard. I will do the consults first. I am going to ask my facial pain specialist but he may not know anyone there. It is across the country. We are moving back west. We live on the East Coast now.

Where in the west? I'm in Spokane WA.

Oh Mountain Mama.. :grouphug: That is hard.. finding new dentists after you are settled and good with yours. I"m dealing with that now. Its hard going through that process. HOpefully if it goes through there will have been some good dentists that moved there in the meantime.
