Well yesterday was my first dental appt in 26 years - obviously I was terrified and the receptionist put me at ease right away. I told her I was so embarassed and that I had swelling in my check from an abcess - she said making the call and comming in was great and not to worry and she was right! The dental hygenist was just as nice and extremly helpful with taking the ex-ray. I kept apologizing and they kept telling me everything would be fine and it wasnt as bad as I thought. Then the dentist came in and sat and talked to me - he didnt lecture me or tell me that my teeth were bad he said " you have many options before you and you took the first step by comming in " he even said they may not need to pull both teeth (which is what I had thought) I cant tell you what a relief it is to know that this will get better and I am on the right track. I need to be on the antibiotic for a week and then iI am going in for exrays and perhaps a cleaning. I will keep you posted. I wanted to say with out this web site I probably would not have had the courage to go, Thank you!!
