Foul taste in mouth - Abscess worry

Still not had my abscessed tooth extracted. Not I have a foul taste in my mouth everytime my temp filling wears away. Is this bad? Am I going to die from it?

So nervous about the dentists. Had CBT but that didn't help anything. Been 18 months since this started. So scared of the injection

It's not a good idea to live with chronic infection and the sooner you can find a kind dentist to sort it out the better. Needle phobics find TheWand very helpful but there are also plenty of dentists around who can give painfree injections with a conventional syringe. The trick is gel and slow delivery or just very slow delivery. More info on the link.

Mainly worked on fear of unknown situations. Didn't used to like eating out etc.. I'm a lot better with eating out and social occasions but still have a problem with medicine and things it may do to me. Explained this to NHS CBT but we ran out of sessions.

There is of course an obvious element of uncertainty in dental (and medical) situations, however I think the term uncertainty (as so as "lack of control"), contains many things like: the lack of orientation and understanding about what is being done to you, the fear of a surprising sensation of pain, the lack of ability to take an active part in what is going on....For each person the concept of uncertainty can mean something a bit different.
Furthermore, uncertainty in a bit invasive situation (like the dental situation when the dentist is reaching inside the mouth) is different from other kind of uncertainty (like in a social situation).

So, can you specify a bit more about the uncertainty in a dental situation? What does it mean for you?
By the way, if my questions are to invasive feel free to say so.

Suppose I worry about what the injection may do to me? Worry about having palpitations, worry about something going wrong medicine wise. Not at all worried about the pain or blood or anything like that. Just medicine

A good way to address what you describe is by sitting down with a dentist which can patiently silt with you and answer your questions and concerns regarding the chemistry, physiology and anatomy aspects of the local anesthetics.
The idea is to enlarge your knowledge about this subject thus to decrease the weight of uncertainty and worse case scenario kind of thinking.

Tried asking the dentist and he just said ill be fine. Didnt really answer my questions. So much on the internet about Lidocane dangers and other junk it makes finding factual data difficult

know im not allergic. Funny, ive had them before when I got a mole removed from my back. Dunno whats up with me lately though
