Hi!! I had a lower left molar tooth extracted 3 days ago. Last night and especially today I am noticing a really bad tast in my mouth. I have been rinsing my mouth out with salt water 5-6 times a day, especially after eating. I just started using non alcohol mouth wash and that seems to be helping a little. I called my dentist office and they are not answering today. Maybe they took a really long weekend there. I also left a message w/ my dentists emergency number but haven't heard back. (very dissapointed in their service at this point)
Is it normal to have this taste from the extraction? I have read some places that it is part of the normal healing process and also read that it could be an infection starting. Also does anyone know what a healing gum should look like?
Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance!!
