Getting ceramic (emax) crowns for 2 front teeth and freaking out about future problems/maintenance
This is the most invasive procedure I'm ever going to have in my 40 years alive. I was in a horrible bike accident, got thrown off a bike and landed on the pavement face down, severely damaged my front teeth (chipped one and fractured the other that needs a root canal). I'm prepped to receive ceramic emax crowns in a couple of weeks but I'm freaking out from reading about possible future issues. Mainly
1. the bacteria that will seep into the gap between my root tooth and crown
2. receding gum line and how unnatural teeth will damage my gum line.
3. How the crowns will ruin my real teeth (I grind at night but sideways, and I have a slight overbite).
I wish I never got on that bike that fateful day because I had perfectly healthy teeth for all of my adult life and I'm extremely upset and distraught I had to go mess it up with this stupid accident.
Is there ANY possibility that in 30-40 years, they will have synthesized human enamel to help us regenerate our teeth?
