My husband's employer has just changed dental providers so we now have a company called DENTAMAX. Have anyone had any experience with this provider? The information we got is limited but it does say they cover orthodontics. It does not give an age limit for these services which lead us to wonder if they might pay at least something for my braces.
We are really, really, hoping they do have some provision for this as this would really help our financial burden.
Any info would be greatly appreciated!!

Hi DW, even if we had the same insurance- each employer has a sort of menu to decide from and what they want to offer their employees- so you need to check with the company plan and if there are different levels to purchase- for example my husband has a choice between standard and basic.... . Some pay orthodontics for adults in a lifetime max but may require you to be under the plan for a year or more before they pay it and others only offer it for under age 19......

A healthcare spending account is another great option if you know you are going to be making set payments every month- you can have it deducted pre-tax, it maybe too late to sign up for it now thought, its usually during open enrollment. (We've maxed ours the last two years while I'm having dental work) Hope you get some covered.

Thanks RP
I will be calling them ommorrow. I called the number on the card to see what info they might have on their automated system and it asked for my name birhdate and then gave me a detailed summary of benefits available. Thought that was interesting. They also had a place where you could send them an e-mail directly.
