I’ve used this forum previously and always find it helpful, very anxious around dental work. Years ago I got a filling and then it affected my bite feeling to high, developed TMJ and a load of stress with it. Hyper awareness due to Autism.
I got referred to a dental hospital. They then referred me to a dental access centre, unfortunately I’ve never found them helpful as I’d like. My dentist dismissed my daughters chipped tooth saying it was normal.
In November there I went for my usual sensitivity pain as I get fluoride reguarly. I’ve been told I’ll need a filling, which I said is there no alternative as actually developed a phobia. I’m worried if I get it done its going to be too high or feel off (ocd)
I wondered and sorry to ask but as dentists, do you know whether I could request to get my filling done at the dental hospital that I was previously at? Is there any newer treatments too that can use technology to tell dentist its precise so they don’t do too high.
What filling material is better as also have a fear it falls out.
Or if not to above can I ask to see a better dentist that was at the old practice who has moved to another dental access centre?
