About 5 months ago I have 2 wisdom teeth taken out. One of them was close to a nerve with a cyst so the oral surgeon only took part of the tooth on that one. Everything was going good. I was healing. After about 6 weeks I went to my dentist and had 2 small fillings or it was suppose to be. I asked both the oral surgeon and the dentist if I need to wait longer after wisdom teeth surgery to get these fillings and they both said no that I could go in then and get them done. Both fillings were done on upper and lower 2nd molars right next to the wisdom teeth that were removed. The first filling was fine. The second filling done 7 weeks after surgery. It caused me immediate pressure and terrible cold sensitivity. It even affect the lower molar that had just been filled because now I had pressure in both the teeth and pain. Then the dentist said I needed to see endodontist. I went and they said I needed root canal on upper 2nd molar that had just been filled and caused all that stinking pressure.
So I had the root canal. Then the core build up and temporary crown. All this in a 4 half months. All the root canal did was stop cold sensitivity. I still have pressure in both upper and lower 2nd molars. The feeling is like a squeezing tooth feeling, pressure, and or a swollen gum feeling, even though the gum is not swollen. It tends to get a burny feeling usually towards the end of the day after I have eaten over there all day.I am very frustrated because I want to feel normal like I use too. I am disappointed that the specialist didnt tell me to wait to have fillings after surgery because I would not be dealing with all this now. My feelings on dentistry has forever changed. I am now scared to even get a simple teeth cleaning. Unless my mouth heals and I dont have this discomfort everyday, I will never be able to feel confident and calm to go to a dentist.
