Hi.
I am 18(turned 18 in june 21), female, and I was told when I was 17( maybe in January February?), just a couple months ago that I have localized periodontitis. I am so scared... I have always taken care of my teeth. Maybe some nights I would brush my teeth before bed because I was tired, but I only really drink water, sometimes juice or milk. I was told I will lose i think 3 or 2 of my front teeth, since those cannot be safe. My lower teeth will be okay as long as I get deep cleaning every 3 months. I already had surgery on my left back side, but for my right back side I need something that will help with the gum. I apologize for forgetting terms.
I am really scared... I don't want things to get worse especially since money is an issue. I will have to take out a small loan to get braces. They said I will have to get braces for my front teeth, limitless braces I believe, to help pull the gum down. My gap space isn't that big, it isn't between my front incisors, the bunny teeth, but next to it on the right.
I floss and use the mouth wash they gave me but gosh I am so scared.... I never had a cavity or anything but then I get this.
I just don't know how to calm down. I always feel like my mouth pains are from this, when I don't think they are and it is just me being really scared...
(they said it is severe localized periodontitis)
