So, since Monday. I had my right, back third molar extracted due to the infection it had given me months before. The tooth was so bad, that the whole entire tooth had broke off my gums, and only the cavity was left. The Dentist I went to got it out with little pain, pressure but no pain. I was alright the first day/night. Numb, and a little trouble sleeping. Sleeping these last couple of nights has been pure hell ACTUALLY. I only get a couple of hours, if that. Anyways, I woke up on day three and felt uncomfortable. Not in pain, just discomfort. I called my dentist and he got me in this morning. He took an XRay of the extraction spot, and cleaned it out gently with listerine deluded in water. Before telling me that it was gonna be okay, that it was not dry... That it is just healing. I am at the 80 hour now, and while there is no shooting pain, or going into my head or ear. I have this urge to wanna reach back there and scratch it. The hole is pretty small, but isn't that normal since only cavity was left in the hole? I just feel like it wants me to scratch it. Is this normal? I would never do that, but why is that urge there? I really hope my Dentist is right and it is just healing. But it seems really early, only three days in to be small like this. And underneath the layer of spit is a greyish/white spot. What is that? PLEASE HELP.:cry:

The white stuff sounds like it's probably granulation tissue. It's a normal part of the healing process.

Well, I am four days in today. The extraction site looks so tiny, lol. Maybe I'm just healing faster than what I thought I would. I dunno. But thank you, this is reassuring. :)
