My immediate load full top implant surgery is on Monday and to say I'm terrified would be an understatement. I have anxiety to start out with and I actually have to fly an hour to where I'm getting my surgery done and stay in a hotel for four days far from home, so needless to say I'm really really anxious not only for the surgery but to be recovering in a foreign place I've never been without the comforts of my home. I'm afraid I might get sick for the surgery or after, I've been really nauseous lately and now it feels like I have a sore throat.

I can't stop crying, I've literally been losing my mind over this. My stress level over the past 3 weeks has been insane to the point where I don't even feel like myself anymore. I can't relax. And I know it's my anxiety but I'm having such a hard time changing up my mindset. I haven't stopped thinking about it and I feel so uneasy and ill.

I can't stop picturing the things that could possibly go wrong. I'm not afraid of pain. I'm afraid of IV sedation complications, aspiration, vomiting from my anxiety or post-sedation, etc..

If anyone has some advice or comfort to offer I'd really appreciate it, thanks :,(

Good luck for today! You will be fine I'm sure. Usually the fear is worse than the actual procedure. "The bark is worse than the bite" as they say.
