Let me start off by saying that I really scared of any kind of surgery and have never been under the knife my entire life. I am 31 now. My appointment is on Monday and will IV sedation. I am freaking out ever since I made the appointment.
Here is what is freaking me out:
1. After IV sedation will I feel any pain at all. As far my knowledge goes IV sedatives are not painkillers and the doctor will give me local anesthetic. Will I still feel pain, I dont mind the drilling or pulling out of teeth as long as I don't feel a thing.
2. What if the IV sedative has a bad reaction with my body?
Thanks in advance.

I didn't need anything more than Advil for the first 48 hours then nothing after that for the pain - and I had five teeth to come out! (one wisdom tooth growing in the jawline above another one which was impacted...sigh). Just make sure whoever you go with takes lots of notes about post-op care. You don't want to go home and start swilling your mouth out vigorously with water straight away, for instance.
