Hello all!

I hope we are all well.

I’m 29, I live in the uk, non smoker and I’m type 1 diabetic.

About 2 months ago I posted and asked for help on here and was given great help.

I will attach the original picture I had.

I went to the dentist 2 months ago with this and was told I had early signs of gum disease and given me a plan to follow, brush 2x a day, floss and alcohol free mouthwash twice a day. They give me some antibiotics but since then the gum or tissue has increased massively. Please find new picture. There is still no pain whatsoever but the gum/tissue is really wobbly especially from the bottom.

I have followed the dentist instructions to the letter and I’ve never tried so hard trying to fix my teeth as growing up as you can tell I didn’t do much and they’re all either cracked or filling but for once for the last 2/3 months I’ve really been trying.

As I have explained previously my biggest fear is the dentist. I get so anxious calling and in the waiting room I get palpitations and when I’m in the chair I get panic attacks.

I have called them today and explained all above and there earliest appointment is middle of may. I can’t wait till then. They’ve said I can call daily for emergency appointments but in the past I’ve not had luck.

Please can someone offer any assurance?.

Thanks!.

Not gum disease at all, it's looking more like a fibrous epulis to me, it'll be fine to wait for an appointment. It may bleed a little bit if you catch it when eating but it's actually completely harmless.

Oh and BTW, your gums are looking much healthier in the second photo, well done and keep it up, don't let this wee problem get you down!

@Gordon hi Gordon, hope your well today!. thanks as always for your assuring and lovely responses.

Stupidly I went private and 3 people looked at it they’ve all said they have no idea what it is and have referred me to the NHS. Also tried to force loads of other work on me costing up to £1000.

I’m going to get this growth sorted whatever it is and then go back to NHS for second opinion on other work so I’m not over charges. I’ll update this post if I find out anything

That's a pretty shocking state of affairs, I'm really disappointed in those dentists :-(

Please do update when you get things sorted and good luck with it.
