So I have been putting this off since March of this year. I am 38, getting 2 wizzies removed next Thursday July 13. I have a very nice oral surgeon. He said my risk of nerve damage is less than 1% ( however another oral surgeon said 5%). I am absolutely terrified of this. I had to get on Lexapro just to calm my anxiety and also I started seeing a therapist all due to this upcoming surgery. I have never even had a cavity, so I don't know what the mouth numbing will feel like. I have opted to be awake, because the thought of sedation scares me more than the surgery itself. I will be taking Ativan and hopefully listening to my headphones during the procedure. I am nervous about the noises, the drill, what will all of this feel like? I am also very nervous about how much pain I will be in afterwards. I have posted on here before about this and I could really use some comforting words! I just want to be okay and for this to be behind me! We also will be going to Michigan the first week of August and I am scared I won't be healed enough to go!
