Just diagnosed with periodontal disease kind of freaking out

Any one else going through this process? Going to see the periodontist in March for my first appointment, very nervous about losing my teeth any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Hi with the right care and treatment you may not lose any teeth. You can start to help yourself in the meantime by brushing twice a day for at least two mins with a soft toothbrush, once in a morning and last thing at night. Use interdental brushes daily and floss to get in between the teeth that the toothbrush doesn't get to.
