Lump near extraction site?

I had my two upper wisdom teeth extracted nearly 3 weeks ago.. healing has been really good and easy.. However, about 1cm from my left upper wisdom extraction site towards the roof of my mouth is a hard lump, almost like a piece of bone is trying to work its way through. It doesn't hurt unless it gets irritated (had to take my tongue piercing out as it was rubbing on it in my sleep apparently). I didn't notice it until all the swelling went away. It doesn't move around all..

Just not sure if its something to be concerned about, or its just my jaw changing slightly with no teeth being there now?

any insight would be great, one less then to be anxious about :)

It's probably a sharp edge of bone, they become more prominent as the boney socket remodels and occasionally cause some irritation or pain on pressure. Really nothing to worry about.

Good idea removing the tongue stud though, they cause a lot of damage to your teeth. I assume you're on here because you don't enjoy dental treatment, so why subject yourself to more than is strictly necessary just for a fashion item :)
