I'm on my 4th dentist in the last few years. I'm having trouble finding one that's good where I live. I thought this one was pretty good, but now I'm not so sure. After the painful root canal I had last month, he's filled many cavities. I'm waiting for my permanent crown that I get next Monday.
My bite is terribly off. It was a little off from the temp crown and fillings on my right side. Even after an adjustment. But it wasn't too bad. Only it did cause one of my front teeth to become very painful. There is nothing wrong on xray with this tooth.
He did more fillings yesterday on the left side this time. When the feeling came back in my mouth I noticed it was really off. I could only completely close one side or the other on my back teeth, and my front were hitting first. So I went back today for another adjustment. Told him I wanted him to check both sides. So he did, and he grinded off quite a bit on what he did yesterday, and some of the right side. Only now it's still not right. I stood up and told his assistant that it was still off. She said it didn't show that on the blue paper and that they didn't want to take too much off. To just wait until next Monday for when I get the crown and they'll check it again.
So now I have to go all week with my bite messed up and I have very little faith that it will be corrected with the new crown. I just don't know what to do. I don't want to let him finish the 7 fillings I need after the crown if he can't get my bite right. I feel like it's all messed up now and have no idea how it will be fixed.
