Hi all.
I had a full extraction done on the 16th of this month, after dealing with an abscessed wisdom tooth. My general dentist referred me to an oral surgeon who put me in IV sedation. My appointment was for 9am and they called me around 8am asking if I could come in earlier since the Dr was ahead of schedule. Something that rarely happens. Anyways we went off to the office and I made it there before 8:45am. They called me back , placed the IV in my left arm and the Oral surgeon placed two injections into the IV. I think I woke up once when he was finishing up the stitching in my mouth, and the next time I woke up I was done. Well it's now 5 days after and my mouth feels like I have some gauze left in the top and wasn't sure if this was normal. I'm no longer on the Lortabs they prescribed for me, just the anti-biotic and Ibuprofen 800mg. Also I am using the heat method now following the post-op paper. Also today I had two of the stitches in back come out.

I'm glad to hear that you were comfortable throughout the procedure and have started the healing process. I noticed you also posted in the dentist's section, I'm sure you will have a reply soon. (different time zones come into play so don't be worried if it takes a little while!)
