Pain tooth when swallowing

Once Again, I come back with a problem..

My second molar on the bottom had a filling one month ago. I had a cavity and doctor said that was the reason for the sensitivity i had.

I still some days have a sensitivity but the weird thing is that only occurs when i swallow liquids. I really cant tell if that tooth is sensitive or the molar next to it.

Doctor said I could have a root canal, but i have two questions. Whats wrong with only swallowing liquid? Is this weird?And moreover, how can long can the sensitivity last before toothache starts and needs a root canal for sure? Could this be postponed for 2 months due to a trip abroad or am i jeopardizing having a major tooth pain abroad?

I had a tooth that reacted to fizzy drinks (soda pop, beer), and nothing else. It was a tooth that had had a root canal treatment, but no-one was ever able to tell me why it did that. It was almost like a vibration feeling, not pain, but weird!

Seems a huge jump to go from sensitivity to a root canal. Get a second opinion.

I visited a new doctor dentist, he is also a periodologist, he said that perhaps it is from the gums and he will proceed on Monday with a cleaning.

I am really really scared because they cannot find the cause of the pain, it does not feel like a toothache, i would say like something is pressing my teeth and a stabing sensation when i swallow at the gum lines.

My major concern is that in one month i have a trip the US that i have been arranging for a year now and I am afraid this could become serious when abroad and i am terrified. I really don't know how much it would take from pain 3/10 left untreated to a major toothache in two months time.. I do not know which root to follow.. a third opinion would for sure drive me crazy. I have attached my latest, 15 days before x ray.. The pain is on the second and first molar bottom on the left of the xray..

OK, you have fairly significant bone loss around the right molars, I would expect some issues with sensitivity around there, good job you're seeing a periodontist

Second there's a shadow under the filling on the lower right first molar, could be nothing but a periapical x-ray and some investigation with a dental probe would be a good idea.
