So incredibly relieved! Okay so here is my story. Hardly brushed as a child. Well, I did but I didnt like to. Fast forward to 2012. I had a scaling and root planing procedure done with laughing gas. It wasnt bad.
Moved to florida to work at Disney World for a while. Took me a while to get dental insurance. When I did, i needed the procedure done again. This time, it was hell. It made my anxiety flare! Eventually after leaving Disney, i moved to live with my girlfriend. Again, starting a new job and didnt have insurance.
Fast forward to January of this year, went to get xrays which arent bad for me. A little gagging but it wasnt bad. Last night I took a 5mg valium to help me sleep and it did. This morning, took a 10mg valium an hour before the procedure. I also used something called DigestZen essential oil from doterra and rubbed it on my belly to eliminate those nervous pains. Got to the office and sat in the chair. (remember, the only reason i was able to do this was because the fear of losing my teeth was greater than the fear of having this done). I stuck my headphones in and listened to celtic music but soft enough to still listen to the dentist commands. She stuck the laughing gas on me and then applied the topical stuff. Then the dentist injected thr septocain (better than lidocain by a LONG shot)! Wasnt bad at all. If they inject slowly instead of fast, it hurts less. They also stuck a surgical mask over my eyes so i couldnt see. That helped too.
I felt a few stings here and there that made me go UGH! But nothing that i couldnt get over. The whole thing took about an hour and a half from the time i sat down in thr chair to the time i paid! My lips are still all numb and I cant make P sounds! I think the most painful part is right now...the injection sites hurt like hell! Love all of you. And I will pray for all of you! I hope you will be able to push through anything you need done! A few tips I use... Dont use crest pro health as it can stain your teeth. Dont use anything with triclosan in it. I gargle with warm salt water and then rinse with a mixture of water and peppermint oil, melaluca oil, clove oil, cinnamon oil and myrrh oil from doterra. It works just as good if not better than name brand mouth washes! God bless!
