Hello everyone, my name is brandon. I found this forum looking up tooth extraction fears on the Internet because I have very significant dental work planned and I'm very fearful. I have severe anxiety for which I take .5 mg of clonapin 3x day. High blood pressure which I take 6.25 mg of carvedilol 2x a day. And 100 mg of zoloft.
Now to the main point. I have lost 8 teeth already due to negligence and abscesses. My remaining ingredients teeth now must also be extracted as well. Simply put I've been negligent with my teeth, no excusrs. However I go tomorrow too have 8 pulled on my right side to begin the process. I'm extremely fearful though because I've never had more than one tooth at a time pulled. My blood pressure and heart rate have ran low at times lately, like 49 on pulse and 96/63 on blood pressure. This makes me very fearful to have it done, even though it is a must do process now. I'm afraid of my BP and heart rate being low thst I'll react negatively to anesthesia and have complications resulting in my death on the table. These teeth are cheduled to be simple extractions, while I have 2 on top that will need surgical extraction, but those will be done on the next visit, if I make it through tomorrow's.... I was told I will not have general anesthesia and not be put to sleep, but I'm still terrified. I also get very uncomfortable laying flat on my back (feels like I can't breathe when I do, so I always sleep in a recliner and haven't been laid flat in some time now.) I've had two courses of antibiotics for infection prior to this. The teeth onot the right side don't hurt, but 2 on the upper right are broke to the gumline. However I've got a tooth or two on bottom and top on the left side that are hurting and I've taken 2 advil once every other day or so for the pain. I am jut so scared. I've got Noone to blame but myself for allowing myself to.get in this situation in the first place. But my fear is reaching extremes now,I don't know what to do, I cannot stay calm. Any suggestions?
