Help I am scared of having IV Sedation

tomorrow! I don’t know if I can do this!!

Well in a few hours time I will be sedated. I am absolutely terrified.
I cannot understand the concept of being awake, awake and in the dentists chair for three hours BUT it only feeling like ten minutes.
I am really scared of the unknown because I’ve never experienced it before.
This forum has been a God send to me. I have been reading it for the last few weeks and until these last couple of days, I haven’t felt nervous at all.

I just do not want to be extremely tired for the rest of my day. Please be thinking about me today and hope that I am getting on ok.
My sedation is at 0900 and my appointment is set to last 3.5 hours. I don’t think that it will last that long though.

Ohhh I’m so scared!!!

Well, what a success!! All I remember is him cutting in the cannula and saying ‘open your eyes for me’ at the end.
I literally remember nothing but that! I don’t remember having anything done at all! Can’t remember sleeping, dozing off, feeling it go in. Nothing at all.

They were all really lovely!!
I have partial dentures so I am in a little discomfort but they are going to adjust them tomorrow for me.
I have no effects from the IV at all

I am so happy this turned out so well! Partials do take a bit getting used to but make sure they adjust them to your comfort !
