Well, I've already had one molar pulled-my first extraction, and it WAS NOT FUN. The dentist YANKED on it for about 15 minutes before he decided he would need to break it into pieces to get it out. No laughing gas either...yikes.
Now I have another tooth on the top that has been bad for quite some time now, and I'm probably going to end up getting it pulled as well. The pain is very intense at times-like a sharp, stabbing pain in my jaw, and temple area..I can feel a sharp edge, which I believe is just where the tooth has broken off due to decay. My question is-if I use this "temporary tooth filling" from the drugstore, should I be worried about food or debris being stuck inside the tooth, under the filling? It seems like that would cause infection..how can I be sure I've rinsed it all away? It's at the very back of my teeth-I can't see it!
Please help!!:-?

It doesn't sound like the temporary filling stuff will be much help to you here, I'm afraid you'll need to go back to the dentist.
