Hello,

Could someone help identify what this is on the gum on top of my bottom right wisdom tooth?

IMG_0374.jpg

The tooth that the gum is partially over is not my wisdom tooth, but the molar next to it (my wisdom tooth has not come in yet.) The gum "sack" as I call it over my coming in wisdom tooth is purple and has pus in it. I'm scheduled for a wisdom tooth consultation on Tuesday next week. Will I be OK until then? I called my dentist and she prescribed a zpack over the phone -- she didn't actually see my tooth. Is it an infection, blood blister? I am in a decent amount of pain and swishing with salt water doesn't help as it makes it even worse.

What should I do??
Please Help!!

Hi,
i am not sure what is it, my guess is an eruption cyst that got inflamed.

Anyway, it sounds you managing it well. Wait for your appointment.

If a warm salt water rinse isn't helping, try a cold salt water rinse. It won't cure whatever it is but it might relieve it a bit. I had an infection once and warm rinses made it throb and set it on fire, but cold was heaven. It was better than chocolate.

I think you will be fine until your appointment so try not to worry, and please do let us how you get on.

All the best :butterfly:
