Hello!
I had 3 wisdom teeth taken out Thursday (1 week and 1 day go). I had thetop 2 removed and the bottom right one removed. The top 2 are doing great, theydon’t hurt at all. I cannot see them but they feel fine. I had stitches in thebottom one. The bottom one is concerning because it still hurts. Not the holeitself, but I guess around it and my jaw are still aching. I have been takingIbuprofen 800 every 8-12 hours still. Once it wears off, the right side of myface hurts pretty bad. I followed all of the rules very well (no rinsing, spitting, straws, etc…) so I’m not sure what’s going on. I didn’t see any bloodclots come out, but then again I can’t see into the holes.
I went to the dentist yesterday and he saidit was healing slowly, no infections, etc. He removed the stitches and cleanedout everything (it didn’t bother me too much). I briefly explained I was stillhaving some pain and trouble opening my jaw. He said I had some food particlesstuck inside and now that I have the stitches out I should start to feel muchbetter. When I went home that night right after the dentist, it started hurtingbad again so I just took some advil and it stopped after about an hour. He didn’tmention anything about dry socket (I didn’t ask either…), but after readingonline, I am confused. I feel like I should not be having such bad pain after aweek, but I don’t have any bad taste in my mouth or any bad odor other thanwhat I would expect as normal. If I am not feeling better by Monday, I think Iwill go back to the dentist. I guess my main question is, is it “normal” aftera week to still be in this much pain?
