Teeth movement from premolar extraction

As I mentioned in my other post, I am having a partially impacted upper premolar removed soon. My question is, how much would a premolar removal affect your wisdom teeth from moving? Do teeth move that much if one is removed? I am 25, and I have my 2 lower wisdom teeth completely through, but no sign or feel at all of any on the upper jaw yet. I am worried that this extraction may force them to start moving and causing problems, or am I getting too paranoid about this?

I don't know how much it would change things, but I do know that our teeth never stop moving throughout our lives. Normally it's minor, but they continuously migrate.

No chance of it affecting the wisdom teeth, you're getting too paranoid over this

Do you know if you actually HAVE upper wisdom teeth? Ever had them x-rayed? It's possible (but rare) not to have all 4...

No, I have never had an xray to confirm whether they are there or not - this sounds really stupid but I am just too scared. If I saw them on an xray then I would just constantly worry about them and the thought of having to have them taken out if problems arose. I know that's silly and totally paranoid, but I can't help myself!

About 4 years after I graduated, we had a new fancy x-ray machine and my Dad decided to try it out. He'd had all his teeth removed in the Navy in 1947 and other than some new sets of false teeth, he had no dental problems at all.

We took a film of him and discovered 2 upper wisdom teeth, lying happily embedded in his jaw bone, they were still lying there up till his death, some 15 years later. (From a heart attack, nothing to do with the teeth!!!!!)

Neither he nor I knew he had them and frankly if it hadn't been for us playing with the new machine, we'd never have known.
