Terrified...Dentist today at 11 AM EST for Oral Surgeon referral

OK my appt was put off til 11 today to see the dentist about my broken molar. I have to see him to get an oral surgeon referral to have a bottom #2 left molar extracted. I am a nervous wreck. They said he may prescibe antibiotics in case of infection before the appointment that may not be until the end of January in 2 weeks. What will he do today? Please HELP!!!!

Also, been having ear pain, jaw joint pain all on left side too, I do have TMJ pretty bad & have had this head cold for a while now, so not sure if the pain is from the tooth or the congestion. I really hope he can prescibe something to help me out til I get the oral surgeon appointment.

hey, your gonna be ok. if you get antibiotics be sure to finish the course. if you get pain meds be very careful and dont get hooked. soon all your pains will be gone
