Oh by the way have you noticed chickenjen has changed she now looks like the cat that got the cream :rofl::rofl::rofl::rofl::rofl::rofl::rofl::rofl::rofl::rofl::rofl: :LMAO:

Thanks Carole yes I just went back to her avitar it's a contented kitty :giggle: I know I said I liked purple .... Well I am covered in purple bruises from failed canulation and today had to soak my foot in water with a bright purple medication in it. With my. newly nstalled p.i.c.c line I will be.getting my antibiotics soon. My infection markers are a lot better than they were which is great See how it is nearer the end of the week:jump:

Thanks for the laugh Carole. ;)
It's actually an orange tabby (in honor of my own orange tabby) with dentures on. My husband found this picture in a magazine ( it was an advertisement for Dentastix) and posted this on our refrigerator when I was getting my partial dentures for a little ha-ha. I was getting a little bored with the chicken avatar, so until I can get my OWN cat to sit still long enough for me to snap a pic, this one will do.
Deejay, I am going to be SO careful with pans as I cook now. Was it a cast iron pan that fell on your foot??
I'm sorry that you're still laid up in the hospital...........:fingerscrossed:that you'll get out this week.
:grouphug: :grouphug::grouphug:'s!!

Hello chickenjen
I am only on my tiny mobile so I just zoomed in on your avitar :rofl::rofl::rofl::rofl:
I have 4 ginger tabbies Tibby, Mac, Amber and my long haired Russell. They would look funny with teeth. Imagine if they grinned and narrowed their eyes they would look quite sinister!:evil:
The pan was a fairly large catering pan old style not cast it had another pan inside it which slid forward when the other one tipped giving it extra umph! And it was the small tubular U shaped handle I think that actually hit and it damaged a vein caused a clot that went badI have spent ten months avoiding injury to my legs due to a leg infection last year typical!!

Morning Deejay still wishing you better and back home soon :fingerscrossed::fingerscrossed::fingerscrossed::fingerscrossed::fingerscrossed::grouphug::grouphug::grouphug::grouphug::waves::waves::waves::butterfly:

Thank you so much, hope you are keeping ok? My foot is still horrible and draining and I am due my soak and bandages changed which is painful but it looks better afterwards. I photo it each day to keep a record. Also means the drs or whoever can see it without disturbing the dressings.or poking at it :rofl: just waiting to get to that turning point now. ;)

Hi, Deejay,
Hope you're doing OK.
Cats are special creatures, aren't they?
My guy, every morning brings me one of his toy mice. And CRIES until I recognize the gift he "caught" for me.
He is with me all the time when I'm at home...............follows me everywhere I go, unless he's fast asleep.
I'm going to spend the weekend at my brother's house next weekend..............first time I'll be away from my cat THAT long since we adopted him in April. He's only 50 miles away, but we do this to catch up and have dinner, etc. .
:fingerscrossed: :fingerscrossed::fingerscrossed: :fingerscrossed: :fingerscrossed: :fingerscrossed:
Staying that way until you're home from the hospital!!
:hug:'s.

All Hail the ' crossed up club' :respect: :respect: :respect: we may never straighten to quite what we were before :giggle:

You will. miss kitty but think of the welcome you will get.

Hi Deejay we still haven't forgotten you, I hope things are progressing, chase up that dentist to come and see you and sort out the nashers.

Weather isn't bad at all out here where I am. My son is going all over Alaska now, I am tracking his ship so he doesn't know I am on his tail on the net if not in person. I am a secret stalker, but it is done in all the best taste possible :rofl::rofl::rofl::rofl::rofl::rofl::rofl:

I went to the dentist yesterday and she did a bit of filling on the crown I do have where food was getting caught on the gum line, I had this done with no numbing. I cannot believe it I have never let anyone touch it without being numb even though I know it is totally dead, has been for years. I am really coming on now with this dental thing. I don't know where it is coming from I haven't been this calm ever. Even with dentists I completely trust. I think the knowledge I have gained on this forum and the epic appointments at the hospital, and also Ben that did my teeth I may even get to be normal going to the dentist. I am not getting too cocky as something might go wrong just to show me it can. I have decided my dentist is very nice and careful too, next time in July she is going to prep the upper rct'd tooth for a crown and do a clean. A couple of week after she is putting the crown on. She is going to numb me for this as she said it will help my gums not to hurt.
I go to the hospital dentist on Thursday for a perm filling in the bottom rct'd tooth then all being well at the end of August that will be crowned too.

Hopefully that will be it for 6 to 9 months when I go back for a check up.

I hope you get home soon I also hope that all the bathing and antibiotics are seeing the infection out of your foot. I do miss you on here and I look forward to seeing you with your warped sense of humour when you come back. I bet you can't wait either. :grouphug::fingerscrossed::grouphug::fingerscrossed::grouphug::flowers::flowers::flowers::flowers::flowers::whirl::whirl::whirl::butterfly::butterfly::butterfly::butterfly::butterfly:

I have a ship and plane tracker so. It must be so nice for you to be able to track your son's journey xx I have found if I make a mistake I can't delete it the cursor will not be placed at the end so I gave up last night it will be so nice to get back on to my iPad so I can add smilies properly and write properly. I found I could just about move my ankle enough to place my foot on the. Floor to hobble instead of hopping and I have been banned from putting weight on it! My p.i.c.c. Line means no shower as does my foot but by standing on one leg the poorly one out to the side. My arm covered and my foot protected I managed with hubby to lean over the bath while he on the other side. Of the bath used the shower spray to wash my h air. A major all round effort but I feel so much better for it. Trying to enjoy my food is also a balancing act, my aches and pains are affecting my appetite. The menu is not inspiring and. Denture friendly. 3 hot choices for lunch one vegetarian one curled up fish and one other dish of the day followed by an old fashioned our a. Cold pudding or a yog or fruit night is one special a salad jacket potato cheese beans coleslaw or sandwich I do struggle I still have a less tender area where the denture rubs luckily events of the day distract me. Ok going to hop to the loo I have an IV at half 11 and another at 6 am, saves setting the alarm clock:giggle: Night Night Forum. Trawlers see you soon. Sleep tight! Crossed up Clubbers:rofl:

I hope you get out of that hospital soon..........I know it's got to be driving you bonkers.
The last time I was in the hospital was in June of 2010.........my roommate snored, IV alarms going off.......don't try to get any sleep while in the hospital, :rolleyes:.
:fingerscrossed:

Long may it continue :clover:
