Tooth abscess and flying? Any danger?

I have been advised by a friends dentist not to fly because of an abscessed tooth. Is there any medical reason for this? The Dr gave me a prescription for Augmentin started it on Tuesday 9/6 will take for 10 days. My flight home in on 9/21? I am really scared that this infection will spread to my brain or blood . Is there any truth to this?

I can see there could be dangers to that due to pressure change.

I had a variety of teeth problems, some were infected, some were broken down, one even had a cyst I dint know of. I am a frequent flyer. Had no direct problems from it.
