Hi,
My husband used to get pain in his tooth when he bites. This went on for 6 months and he decided to see a dentist. The dentist took x-rays and said there is nothing wrong with the tooth. No infection, no cavity, tooth looks strong. So he came home all confused. saw another dentist and got the exact same response. Last Friday, He began having pain. He was rolling around in bed with pain. I gave him ibuprofen and got him oragel. He went to the dentist same day and got the exact same response "nothing is wrong". He was referred to orthodontist. The orthodontist said that 2 on his molars had hairline fractures and that could be the cause. He gave him some meds and told him he could pull the tooth out but we need to figure out which one is causing pain. He asked my husband to come back after 10 days. Now the pain seems to have moved to the jaw region near the ear. He gets severe pain when he gets to the sleeping position. When he is sitting around there is almost no pain. So now we are wondering if it is the tooth or something else. The tooth is not paining anymore. Anyone knows what this is?
