Tooth extraction site pain after 6 months

I had a tooth pulled April 8th and the past few days I been experimenting pain around where it was pulled it in the gum area and my dentist can't see me until the 29th any idea what it could be from or why? Its driving me crazy and each day it seems to get a little worse I brush my teeth twice a day as soon as I get up and right before bed. Is it all anyway possible the hole can reopen or why is it acting like this

sometimes a sliver of bone can work it's way through an extraction site. it would be strange for it to have started hurting 6 months later, but not impossible, Usually if it is going to happen it will be sooner than that

This could be inflammation around the gum or food particle stuck in the gum surrounding the next tooth. I would floss around the next teeth to the extraction site and do warm salt water washes. It could be gingivitis or periodontitis, but until the dentist takes a look it could even be another tooth with referred pain. It is really annoying when you have to wait for the dentist. Hope you get to sort it out soon.
