Welcome! This is an online support group for anyone who is has a severe fear of the dentist or dental treatment. Please note that this is NOT a general dental problems or health anxiety forum! You can find a list of them here.

. I'm so sorry you've had such a tough time. Please don't despair. If you really are feeling so bad as to think about harming yourself, then whatever happens about your dental needs can I suggest that you think about finding someone, preferably a qualified doctor/therapist, whom you can talk to about all this? You are definitely not alone in your struggle with dental fears (as just 5 minutes on this site will show you), but whilst you will receive lots of support and advice on here, you maybe would also really benefit from an extra level of help that only a professional can give you.

but at least that eliminates one in the area. If you are sure your preference is to be unaware during treatment then it makes sense to do as you are doing and researching those with sedation modalities available.
WELL DONE for getting the nerve to book the appointment - we all know how hard that is, so you should be proud of yourself.
