Uh... I feel weird asking this, but - I just home from the dentist, well about an hour ago. I had a molar out and some fillings. When I talk, even without the gauze, I sound like kermit the frog, sorta. Um, is this normal? Did he damage something in my throat or something???!???
Yeah, I feel so strange asking this. But it's freaking me out.

Did you sound like Kermit before? :)

I'm guessing it's because the local hasn't worn off yet. Can't see how anyone could get to the vocal chords just taking a tooth out.

Oh, maybe it's my.. tongue? Or maybe I'm just being too worried about things..
Maybe I should try and sleep and wait for this to wear off. Oh goodness me. XD

I believe when they take out any teeth they also give a shot on the lingual (I think that's the tongue side) so it'll probably be difficult to speak for a bit.

No, the lingual nerve (which supplies sensation to the tongue) is an innocent bystander that gets caught up in the crossfire of getting the Inferior Dental Nerve (which is the nerve that supplies the lower teeth). So the tongue gets numbed up too.
