On May 17 I got a deep cleaning in 3 quadrants and June 19 the last quadrant, Today my pockets was measured and most of my front teeth, canine are between 2,3,1 some 4 on my premolars .Now on my molars I got some 7’s. On my first reading before my deep cleaning the minimum measure was 5 or 6 cant remember. Most of them was between 7 and 9+ This is what he says: there was a lot improve but still have some bacteria( calculus) specially on my molars and he suggest a surgery ( open flap something) well the thing it is too expensive $1385 per quadrant! I cant afford that. Then he told me if money was a problem the other plan is I need to come every 3 months for a perio maintenance and do a deep cleaning every year. So my question is this going to help with deep pockets? Or is just to prevent getting worse but the problem it still there! ? Do you think is a good option the plan of every 3 months and still is possible to have some improvement? Or definitely I need to do everything to have the surgery!? Thanks...
