Hi all
i had a sinus lift on 13, 14, and a sinus lift and implant on 3 last week. When can I resume sleeping on my side?would the implant and grafting be settled enough? And regular exercise with weights? my diet is still eating liquids, only soft foods and I still have my dissolvable sutures and am just unsure of what to do after the typical few days of aftercare. Just obviously want to be as safe as possible with no setbacks. Thanks so much.

Ask your surgeon?

@GordonI have a follow up with him but unfortunately it was booked later than the typical two weeks as he’s on vacation. Was just hoping for advice beforehand as a month is a long time. Thanks anyway

Hi Scaredbutready,
At three weeks the wound should be closed, and the area much more stable.
Every dentist will have his own post-operative regieme, so it is best to check with them, as only they know how delicate the area is, but I would guess that it is ok by now to sleep on that side and go to the gym again, unless you are lifting very heavy weights which cause you to really strain or clench. If that is part of your workout, I would go easy until you have been given the go ahead.
Hope it all heals well

@drhirst thank you so much. I’ve definitely still been careful and will continue to do so until I can confirm with the surgeon. Appreciate your time, I know each person has such unique circumstance. thanks again
