I have a full mouth of bad teeth. Only 5 of my teeth are ok. Few teeth need light work, other teeth are so bad I'm sure many would require at least 2 appointments. I also have a cyst in lower jaw. None of my teeth need extraction (idk how though, given their state).

So the question is, is my body gonna handle treating so many teeth? I know it'll take a year or more, especially that I'm anxious and wanna be careful with it, but still. I'm 21 and relatively healthy.

You said you're relatively healthy. Once you don't have any medical issues, you'll be fine to have lots of dental work. You should follow up on that cyst as well. Find out what's the recomended treatment for it when you go back to your dentist.

The best thing you can do is to start now.

@vipdent my main concern in health is fast heart rate, for which I take Bisoprolol. I told the dentist about it, and apparently they're fine with it. But I don't think I'm getting an exact diagnosis anytime soon (I'm in a small town). Other than that, I have stomach issues due to stress, and that's about it. For cyst, I was told they'll have to do a surgery to remove it to treat the teeth that are above it.

I really wish I could start now, and when I'm at home, I feel brave, but two months ago I had an appointment where I just refused to treat light cavities because of fear. And they told me to come back when I'm ready. I've been to a good dentist years ago and it wasn't painful at all, but now I'm for some reason afraid that the local anesthesia just won't work.
